Food for Thought

I got this message from a friend who has not been communicating with me for a long time. Why we didn't communicate? It's because of our busy schedule. So, I was surprised when I saw her name in my inbox indicating that she has a message for me. I just want to share this with you.

A LENTEN REFLECTION

Give up complaining; focus on gratitude.

Give up pessimism; become an optimist.

Give up harsh judgments; think kindly thoughts.

Give up worry; trust Divine Providence.

Give up discouragement; be full of hope.

Give up bitterness; turn to forgiveness.

Give up hatred; return good for evil.

Give up negativism; be positive.

Give up anger; be more patient.

Give up pettiness; become mature.

Give up gloom; enjoy the beauty that is all around you.

Give up jealousy; pray for trust.

Give up gossiping; control your tongue.

Give up sin; turn to virtue.

Give up giving up; hang in there!

I'm Getting Married!

At last! After seven loooong years of waiting, I'm finally getting married! The Lord is sooo good! Well, I said seven long years because seven years ago (I was 25 years old then), I dreamt of being married to the man of my dreams. But that didn't happen, I was boyfriend-less at that time. I thought, it wouldn't happen anymore. So, I just prayed and waited and then... tadaah! Wilbert S. Lojo had proposed last year (after 2 years of being partners) and so we are going to tie the knot on June 16 of this year. How about that? All I can say is "Praise God"! We're both excited and we are enjoying our preparation time. Sometimes, it gives me headaches but I know it's all gonna be worth it.

How Time Flies So Quickly!

Doesn't time fly so fast? Come to think of it, it seems like it was just yesterday when we welcomed the new year and here we are now, it's almost lenten season! Oh my, we really can't stop the turn of the clock's hands. ;-)

Somehow, it excites me because I believe that every new day is another day closer to the coming of the Lord. "Lift up your eyes Church for your redemption draweth nigh!" These words echo in my ears as I face each day. I must admit though, that sometimes I tend to forget this glorious promise of the Lord. Nevertheless, I'm always brought back to that thought and my mind begins to wonder, "What will it be like? I can only imagine..."

May our hearts ever be desiring for that glorious day! May our souls be always clothed with His righteousness! And may our spirit be fervently waiting for the coming of our Lord!

Yes, time flies so quickly but He does it so for His glory! :-)
